ABOUT Himlung (7129m) Expedition
Mount Himlung is situated in one of the remote part at Nepal-Tibet border in the Manaslu region. This mountain is opened for climbers in 1992 only, before it was restricted. The route to climb Mount Himlung follows the trekking route of the Annapurna Circuit until Koto and from there to follow the small path towards the spectacular valley of Nar-Phu Gaon. The trekking route from Manang to Phu Gaon is newly opened and has not been visited by many tourists so far. The landscape is mainly composed of high peaks, passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow gullies, forests, rocks, springs, Gompas and unique cultural settlements. Panoramic views of Manaslu Range, the Annapurna Range, Gangapurna, Ratna Chuli and many other mountains are part of the trip.
Mount Himlung is does not need required specific climbing skills however it does require a high level of fitness. It is a beautiful course of albinism from its Base Camp to the Summit. The Base Camp is established at 4850 meters. It is boarded at the upper end by one of the pastures belonging to Phu. In principle, three high camps are established before reaching the Summit. Camp I at 5450 meters, Camp II at 5800 meters and Camp III at 6350 meters. Sherpa Shepherds propose climb with experienced staff and climbing Sherpa, excellent food and good lodges/Base camp during climbing of Mount Himlung with the appropriate medical and emergency aid, regular weather updates, means of communication and the necessary safety gear are part of the expedition.
