Dinesh Tamang, Director of Sales & Marketing of Sherpa Shepherds was born in Rasuwa District. Mr. Tamang is actively working in tourism industry from the last 14 years. Mr. Tamang is well known name of Nepalese tourism industry and he has gained well name, accolades and prestige because of his exceptional contribution for tourism development, redefining the new way of travelling and introducing new scope of tourism-responsible tourism and socio-motive tourism. He has introduced ‘Tourism is the only one sector where we can do business and social work at the same time’.
Mr. Tamang has completed his graduation in business studies from Tribhuvan University. He started his tourism career in 2003 and from then he is continuously working for tourism. He is a trend setter in Nepalese industry. He is one of the successful young tourism entrepreneurs of Nepal and he left many unforgettable footsteps in tourism and social work. He has run many successful projects and at the same time he is successfully running the company. Mr. Tamang himself is licensed trekking guide, motivational speaker who has trekked various regions of Nepal such as Langtang, Annapurna, Everest, Dolpo, Mustang, Manaslu and Tibet. His professional experience include leading various tourism and social development projects such Trekking Agencies ‘Association of Nepal (TAAN), World Food Program (WFP)’s MCHC Project, Cultural reservation project of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Rasuwa Nuwakot Paryatan Samaj (RNPS), organic and eco tourism project of Green Youth Tourism Development Society (GYTDS), relief support program of Healing Haku Project and many more. Mr. Tamang has awarded as one the most influential travel service provider by Government of Nepal and awarded for ‘Promoter of Smart Tourism’ in Nepal by Nepalese Army.
His core competencies are handling and coordinating with travel agents and individual travelers, developing new travel packages and managing administration. He is constantly involved in working on the innovative ways of improving customer services.
