King Prithvi Narayan Shah’s statue on top of Mount Everest
Kathmandu, 16 May 2018: Legendary mountaineers and Guiness Book Of World Record Holder for Fastest person to ascent Mount Everest; Chief Executive Officer of Sherpa Shepherds Mr. Pemba Dorje Sherpa put the around 22 kg statue of king Prithvi Narayan Shah on the top of Mount Everest on 16th May 2018. Mr. Sherpa along with 22 times Everest Summiteer Kami Rita Sherpa jointly put the statue on the top of Mount Everest on 16th May 2018 earlier 06:00 AM.
Mr. Sherpa brought the statue of king Prithvi Narayan Shah in association with Nepalese Army. Chief of Nepal Army Staff General Rajendra Chhetri had hand over the statue to representative of Sherpa Shepherds Mr. Pemba Dorje Sherpa on 25th April 2018. Later Mr. Sherpa put the statue for the first time ever in the history. King Prithvi Narayan Shah is considered as the symbol of unity in Nepal and he is the founder of Nepalese Army too. Nepalese Army and Sherpa Shepherds aimed that this initiation will spread positive message to the world and will convey the message of unity.
